This episode of Fantasy Island is about a girl who wants a date with a man that she became infatuated with years ago after only one meeting. She believes him to be the perfect man. She gets her date, all is going well. The next thing she knows she wakes up in a brothel. She has been drugged and kidnapped. She is now required to be a slave hooker for this perfect man who has turned out to be a pimp. "D" plays an earlier victim named Mickey. This girl does something rare though. She admits her foolishness. She realizes she has projected her own goodness onto another and with great determination breaks free from this situation and gets the other girls out as well. She escapes and learns the important lesson of self worth. We do not find our value in others, for we are already valuable, and we need no confirmation of this truth from others. We need only look within and finding that truth already present, live it. It is odd that many of the roles that Dorothy played, directly related to her own life. As you study her life you will learn that an odd destiny seemed to express itself. This is why I believe that there is much to learn from her life and death.
